Bower House, Bright

Creating a connection between the house and landscape was vital in this project. The landscape design sought to give the house a grounded feeling without taking from its strong lines and striking form. Trees provide focal points from within the building; mass planting creates sweeps of texture in subdued colors. The South West aspect looking to Mount Buffalo is both a focus from within the house and a horticultural challenge. Built on a steep slope, comfortable access around the property was created using raised walkways. We have eagerly anticipated the maturity of the garden, assisting clients with management of the landscape maintenance. The garden is now thriving, its wonderful to watch this garden continue to improve.
